Amigos de Chocolá
is a non-profit secular organization committed to promoting sustainable
economic and social development in the town of Chocolá,
Guatemala, helping to reduce poverty and improve the lives of
the people of Chocolá
and surrounding regions. We respect your privacy and will not
sell, rent or otherwise transfer your personal information to
any third-party.
Information
Collection
If you send us an email, or fill out a form on our site, it is
our understanding that you have consented to receive communication
from Amigos de Chocolá. We collect this information only
on a permission opt-in basis. We also look at the log files on
our Web server to evaluate traffic patterns, but this only identifies
you by your IP number. What we will not do is sell your information
to other companies or mailing lists, nor will we abuse our privilege
in having your contact information. If you no longer wish Amigos
de Chocolá to contact you, simply email webmaster@amigosdechocola.org
and your name will be removed from our subscriber list.
Other
disclosures
We are committed to data security, and protect our Web server
and internal network servers with firewalls and frequent supervision
of server activity. We do not store any personal or credit card
information on our server. We reserve the right to compare our
data with industry trends for quality control and analysis purposes.
We also reserve the right to supplement our data with third-party
acquired data. We keep all communications with private individuals
and other organizations as privileged information, and will not
divulge this information except as required by law. If you have

We may in some cases use cookies. We do look at our log files
from time to time. We may use click stream data on our site in
order to analyze visitor usage of the web site.

You can't "opt out" of log files. You can, however,
"opt out" of being contacted by us by simply requesting
to be deleted from our archives (see the first section above,
or just email us). We support the requirements set forth by the
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) regarding use
of the web by minors.

We keep a chronological record of all our contact form information.
We value your privacy as much as our own. As mentioned above,
we consider this information privileged information and do not
rent, sell or otherwise transfer to other entities, unless as
